BYD COMPANY LIMITED was founded in 1999, specializing in research, manufacture and sales of rechargeable batteries. Our main products include Lithium-ion batteries , Nickel-Cadmium batteries and Nickel-Metal hydride batteries. BYD moved to the new industrial park in September of 2000, which locates in Kuichong Longgang,ShenZhen. It covers an area of 374,000 square meters, and over 15 thousand employees work here.
Current BYD daily output is around 2,000,000 pieces. Our products are widely used for mobile phone, power tools,cordless phone,R/C toys, emergency lighting, laptop computers, and other portable equipments. Major customers include many leading brands in these industries. In 2001, BYD output volume of Lithium-ion, Nickel-Cadmium and Nickel-Metal hydride batteries ranked NO.4，NO.2 and NO.3 respectively. BYD is by far the largest in China and a leading global supplier of portable power.
A strong R&D team, with 200 senior staff consisting of professors, doctors and masters, enriches BYD world leading technologies of rechargeable batteries. We have a material research center, a battery technology research center and new product development center.
