Hong Kong Academy of Chinese Medicine (HKACM) was establised in 2003 by Professor S.C. Hui who was the fromer Deputy Director of the School of Chinese Medicine of the University of Hong Kong and a foreunner in promoting Chinese medicine through continuing education. HKACM is one of the training centres being recognized by the Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Council to provide continuing educational programmes for Chinese Medicine practitioners.

Dr.Eileen Y.L. Kwok succeeds Professor Hui as the President of HKACM since January 2010. She has substantial experiences in Chinese Medicine as both a practitioner and an academic.

Since its inception, HKACM has launched programmes in different Chinese medicine areas at different levels, such as Certificates and Diplomas in Chinese Medicine, Chinese Medicine Dispensing, Chinese Medicine Nutrition and Tui-na.

The Academy is offering a 1-year Professional Diploma Course in Chinese Medicine for Form 5 to Form 7 school graduates. Students who successfully pass the examinations and obtain the Professional Diploma in Chinese Medicine of HKACM will be eligible for applying direct entry into the first year of the 5-year full-time Bachelor degree course in Chinese Medicine of the following Chinese Medicine Universities in mainland China.

In further collaboration with Chinese Medicine universities in the mainland, HKACM also launches Master and Doctorate Programmes in Chinese Medicine for Hong Kong Chinese Medicine practitioners so as to provide opportunities for them to enhance their professional skills and knowledge.
