The architectural firm of Chau Lam Architects & Associates was established in 1985 by Mr. Chau Ho Ming as an extension to his practice Chau Ho Ming, Authorized Architect founded in 1960. Since then the practice has offered a comprehensive range of professional services on architectural and structural consultancy in Hong Kong spanned over 30 years of time.
Since 1981, the practice has been appointed and serving as one of the consultant architects for the Architectural Office of the Hong Kong Government. Projects successfully completed or currently being undertaken in the public sector include Urban Council complexes, libraries, swimming pools, indoor sports areas, contact sports hall, outdoor sports & recreational facilities and public housing projects for the Housing Authority.
In the private sector of practice, the firm has also successfully completed about 250 projects of diversified natures and functions with various degree of complexity in response to particular requirements from different clients or client bodies. At the moment, the practice is undertaking a number of projects ranging from high-rise commercial developments to townhouses and space frame structures.
Being affiliated with a core of experienced and innovative professionals of architects, interior designers and engineers supported with 2-D / 3-D computer-aided drawing facilities, the practice endeavors to quality design and management of each project from inception to completion.
