MI was originally an off-shoot of the famous shipping group, Mollers', which was based in Shanghai at the trun of the nineteenth century. In 2005, with its roots firmly placed in the insurance industry through Mollers', the company further expanded by acquring Chubb Insurance Services in a management buy-out. The following year, the company was renamed, MI Insurance Brokers Limited.



Now located in Hong Kong, and with its enviable historical background, MI is strategically placed as a truly international company, transacting business throughout the Asia Pacific region, Europe and the United States of America. In addition, Mi is a member of both the Hong Kong Confederation of Insurance Brokers, and the Hong Kong Chamber of Insurance Intermediaries, while also holding the position of a Cover-holder for Lloyd's of London.
