Namsung Shipping was founded in 1953 as the first private ocean going shipping carrier in Korea.The company provides various shipping related services such as container liner services and break bulk services for the Korea / Japan, Korea / China , Korea / Vietnam and China / Japan routes. Namsung Shipping is one of the most reputable shipping companies in Korea, operating 14 owned vessels and an array of chartered bessels and employs 300 staff.
The company commenced in September 2006 its Hong Kong / Haiphong (Vietnam) / Shekou, Xiamen ( South China) services and in June 2009 expanded the service from Hong Kong to Ho Chi Minh City ( Vietnam) and Thailand. From Jan., 2009, it changed Namsung Shipping Hong Kong Ltd from a representative office to a branch office to provide higher quality container services to clients. The company is planning to expand the service for south east Asia from Korea / Japan to Vietnam and Thailand next year.
