Description
The aromas of this rich medium-bodied wine are well integrated with hints of ripe berries, cinnamon, green olives, toasty oak, etc. The flavors follow with added components of sour cherry and a hint of chocolate. The mouth feel is initially supple, which carries through to the finish.
- Varietal: 95% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
- Appellation: Sonoma Valley (on the ridge of Mount Veeder).
- Brix @ harvest: 24.9.
- Oak aging: 20 months (50% new, 90% French, 10% American).
- Alcohol: 14.4%.
- 62TA (g/100ml).
- pH: 3.50.
- Harvest date: 10/2/04.
- Bottling date: 8/15/06.
- Production: 1010 6-pack/750ml cases.
