「Wah Fai」Lightweight Block is made of qualified lime, sand, plaster, cement and aluminum powder. It is processed through powdering, mixing, pouring, foaming and steaming.

1. Lightweight
(1) can enhance structure’s ability to resist vibration
(2) can reduce size and the reinforcement of beams and columns, in order to reduce the cost
(3) can reduce the loading of the foundation, it weights only 1/5 of red brick
(4) can increase the actual building area；
(5) can build a higher building in the same structure；
2. Large surface area to enhance the capacity to load
Light in weight, the size of each piece of it is 10 times bigger than red brick, which makes the larger surface area to reduce the loading.
3. Thermal insulation
Thermal conductivity of it is 0.11~0.15W/m.k, its thermal insulating performance is 5 times better than red brick, which leads to a much better heat insulating performance. So it can be used in the interior/exterior wall of building, insulation layer, refrigerating depot and air-conditioned room.
4. Low moisture absorption
Fine, sealed, closely-packed spherical-bubble structure inside the block, so water can diffuse into the block using a longer time of 72 hours for water to diffuse only 80-100 mm thick for 240 mm block wall. When compare with red bricks (240 mm thick) which takes 12 hours to be fully diffused with water after testing. Wall constructing with its excellent for wet southern area.
5. Stable compressive strength
Compressive strength is stable and long-lasting. The reading of a 150mm x 150mm x 150mm testing block still remain stable after exposed to the air for 10 years.
6. Anti-seismic
Building constructed with it can remain unharmed in massive earthquake.
7. Easy to be shaped
Capable to drill, to nail, to saw, to shave into different shape, also it can be fixed with screw, can form plow groove on the wall by electrical screw driver make convenient for installation of ducts, and also can cut into different sizes and shapes to meet the various situation.
8. Fire resistance
Nonflammable building material, its combustibility is much higher than general concrete. Its compressive strength remain stable before being heated under 700℃, it will not release toxic gas when it is burnt by flame.
The fireproof performance of its complies with BS476-PART-22-1987（75mm thickness – 2 hrs fireproof ; 100mm thickness – 4 hrs fireproof）
9. Sound Insulation
Sound insulation can reduce the sound level of 40 dB or above, which makes it as an excellent material to reduce noise at indoor area like household and offices.
10. Anti-corrosion
Using river sand as raw material, the shrinkage is designed to be less than 0.5mm/m, ensure there will be no cracks on the wall. No radiation, no odour from evaporation, so it can act as a hygienic, environmental friendly building products.
