Tasting notes:
  • In the glass, it has a full, golden yellow color. If brought close to the nose, there is an intense bouquet of oriental scents: rose petals, roselle, ginger and black tea, with underlying fresh citrus tones.
  • The palate is presented with a play of flavors and sensations already recognized in the nose with a good and clean finish that calls for another taste.

When to drink:
  • It is a great aperitif and, because of its versatility, it can also be drunk with the antipasto. Its particular soft flavor matches perfectly with bitter foods. First courses or light soup, grilled bluefish or shellfish – which it suits particularly well – and even young cheeses.
  • Friuli, long a land of conquest and domination. One of the presences that undoubtedly lasted for longest and left a mark in the history of the region is the Habsburg domination, during which Friuli enjoyed a marked development in agriculture and wine-producing.
  • Traminer, which is indeed a grape of Habsburg Germanic origin, was imported into Friuli during the time of Austrian rule. It spreads both on sloping and flat ground, also thanks to the plant’s natural resistance to disease and to the quality of the wine it produces.
