Product Description

CBAM is the abbreviation for the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, also known as carbon tariff or carbon border adjustment tax. It is a mechanism applying to imports of products from carbon-intensive industries, whereby the EU imposes fees on the carbon emissions associated with certain imported goods. Currently, it covers six major sectors: cement, aluminum, fertilizers, electricity generation, hydrogen, and steel. In the future, the European Commission will consider adding other carbon-intensive industries.
