Joining the Food Expo PRO for the first time, we aim to establish business connections in Hong Kong and Macao. At the same time, explore opportunities for Hawaiian coffee in these markets.
We have connected with more than 100 buyers during the expo. The response has been encouraging and we expect to continue discussions with potential partners and aim to conclude business within the next two to three months.
HKTDC's Click2Match business-matching service helped us connect directly with potential partners and assess market opportunities for Hawaiian coffee in Hong Kong and Macao. The fair has provided us with strong market exposure and an effective platform to reach potential buyers.
The HKTDC Food Expo has been one of the most important and trusted platforms for Korean food exporters for many years. It is an excellent platform to introduce new products, meet buyers and build lasting business partnerships. Beyond Hong Kong, the Expo enables Korean companies to connect with importers and distributors from the Chinese Mainland, Singapore and other Asian markets.
This year, we are pleased to further strengthen our relationship with HKTDC through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). It provides an excellent opportunity for both aT and HKTDC to foster deeper information and perspective sharing. Exhibitors also highly value Hong Kong’s role as a vital testing ground for entering the Chinese Mainland. Hong Kong remains a highly strategic market for Korean agro-food products. It is not only Korea’s sixth-largest export destination for agro-food, but also an important springboard to the Greater Bay Area and the wider Chinese Mainland market.
We appreciate HKTDC’s efforts in attracting quality international buyers and creating meaningful business opportunities. Through this partnership, we look forward to expanding opportunities for Korean exhibitors, strengthening business connections across the region, and delivering even greater value to participating companies in the years ahead.
On the first day of the fair, we successfully connected with 20 professional buyers from Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and other regions, which perfectly aligns with our goal of expanding our Asian customer network. We expect to convert these discussions into concrete deals through post-event follow-ups, with a target to close transactions with at least half of the buyers we have engaged with. We anticipate securing our first container order in the near term, with each container holding approximately 27 tonnes and valued at around $105,000 USD.
This year's Food Expo PRO introduced the Meat Zone for the first time, effectively attracting professional buyers from the industry and creating more targeted networking opportunities. We are also highly impressed by the overall organisation of the fair.
We have experienced the advantages of Hong Kong as an international trade platform and the quality of professional buyers that HKTDC fairs attract. We look forward to returning next year to further expand our business.
Food Expo PRO provides an important platform to show that food innovation should serve everyone. At the fair, we have met buyers from the Chinese Mainland, while an Italian buyer has approached us about OEM production of a soft-texture pizza. If successfully concluded, the deal value is expected to reach six figures or more. We hope to leverage HKTDC to further expand into ASEAN markets.
HKTDC brings the right solutions to the right audiences, allowing buyers to experience our products and technology first-hand, while connecting us with partners across food, healthcare and elderly care.
HKTDC’s Food Expo PRO and Hong Kong International Tea Fair provide an important platform for Hong Kong to play its role as a “super connector”, bringing together exhibitors, buyers and industry professionals from different markets and creating new opportunities for the coffee industry.
This vision aligns closely with the Belt and Road International Coffee Alliance (BRICA). Partners include coffee associations in the Greater Bay Area, organisations in Yunnan and certification bodies in Hong Kong, while parties from ASEAN markets have also expressed interest in joining. Through HKTDC, we hope to connect coffee businesses across Belt and Road markets and strengthen Hong Kong’s role as an international coffee trading hub.
We have signed an MOU with partners in Yunnan to support the international expansion of Yunnan coffee. As domestic production meets only about 20% of demand, leaving significant room for imported coffee. With Hong Kong’s unique position as a super connector, we believe the city can serve as a gateway for Mainland coffee to reach global markets while introducing quality overseas coffee to the Chinese Mainland.
This year’s Coffee Zone at Food Expo PRO further demonstrates that potential. Alongside exhibitors from Yunnan, the zone welcomes new exhibitors from Colombia, Macao, Myanmar, Thailand and the United States, reflecting the fair’s strong connectivity and ability to bring together coffee businesses from around the world.
Tai Po Chun Hing made its Food Expo PRO debut this year, showcasing halal-certified beef and fish meatballs, as well as carbon-neutral beef meatballs, at the new Meat Zone.
On the first day of the fair, we connected with more than 20 potential buyers from the Philippines, Thailand and the Middle East, including food manufacturers and restaurant groups. We expect to reach around 200 potential buyers throughout the fair, and we conservatively estimate potential business generated from the fair at around HK$500,000 to HK$1 million.
The new Meat Zone has enabled us to connect with buyers with specific sourcing needs, while our halal-certified products and the HKTDC Halal Food and Beverage label have attracted strong interest from buyers in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
Food Expo has long helped us build brand awareness and expand sales channels, while Food Expo PRO is opening doors to overseas markets. The fair has strengthened our confidence in expanding our international business.
Our goal is to develop Hong Kong into a food-processing hub connecting quality products with international markets. Food Expo PRO gives innovative products like ours valuable international exposure and access to global buyers.
We are particularly pleased to see HKTDC continue to broaden the scope of Food Expo PRO in response to emerging market trends. The introduction of pet food products for the first time this year is a very good example. It opens up a new business dimension at the fair and creates opportunities for technologies originally developed for the food industry to be applied to the rapidly growing pet economy. Our packaging technology, for example, can enable meat-based pet food to be stored at room temperature without preservatives or cold-chain logistics while retaining its nutritional value.
On the first day alone, we received enquiries from more than 200 visitors and buyers, with some expressing interest in visiting our factory. Based on discussions so far, the potential business value could reach US$500,000 to US$1.3 million.
This is our third year participating in HKTDC fairs. Its buyer network and services such as Scan2Match and Click2Match are helping us connect with partners and bring our food technology to more overseas markets.
Chinyi Eggs Technology Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based egg products company, with a highly integrated supply chain covering the egg production, processing and manufacturing, as well as logistics and distribution. The company also provides customised egg product development and production services for business clients, catering to different market and application needs.
At present, the company primarily serves the Taiwan market, while overseas expansion has become an important part of its growth strategy. To accelerate its international market development, we are leveraging the Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s extensive business network, industry expertise and international platform by participating in the Food Expo PRO. Through Hong Kong’s position as an international trading hub, we aim to enhance brand exposure and explore new opportunities in overseas markets, including Japan, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.
The exhibition brings together professional buyers from different regions and industries, providing an ideal platform for us to showcase our customised production capabilities and tailor solutions to specific market requirements. Through the EXHIBITION+ model, the company can engage potential buyers via Click2Match before the fair and conduct face-to-face meetings during the physical exhibition, creating a seamless combination of online business matching and in-person engagement. To-date, we have already received meeting requests from buyers in the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia and Cambodia, opening new opportunities for international business development.
We value the credibility and year-round exposure provided by hktdc.com Sourcing. After uploading selected products, we received enquiries from buyers in South Africa and South Asia about egg yolk oil and eggshell powder—markets we had rarely reached before. This has enhanced our brand’s visibility and professional image while opening up potential opportunities to expand our export business.
This is our first time participating in the Food Expo PRO, and we are particularly impressed by HKTDC’s introduction of the new Meat Zone this year. The dedicated zone creates a more focused sourcing environment for professional buyers and gives Hong Kong companies a stronger platform to showcase quality meat and halal food products to the international market.
HKTDC’s international platform fits perfectly with our overseas expansion strategy, particularly in Southeast Asia where demand for halal products continues to present strong business potential.
Since the fair opened, we have already identified potential buyers from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. The results have been very encouraging.
What we value about HKTDC is its ability to connect local companies with international buyers. Food Expo PRO brings buyers from multiple markets under one roof, allowing us to understand their needs and explore opportunities efficiently.
Looking ahead, we aim to expand our halal portfolio into cooked foods, dried foods, sauces and more. Food Expo PRO is an important platform for bringing Hong Kong’s quality halal products to overseas markets, particularly Southeast Asia.
This is our fourth time participating in Food Expo PRO. On the first day of the fair, we have already established contact with 20 to 30 buyers from Indonesia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong from sectors such as supermarkets, department stores and pharmacies.
Among them, a pharmaceutical manufacturer from Taiwan showed strong interest in our products. We held in-depth discussions on export requirements and quality standards, and are now preparing formal quotations. The potential order value from this client is estimated at around RMB 1 million. Through this exhibition, we expect to secure one to two orders, with a total transaction value of approximately RMB 1-2 million.
HKTDC's Click2Match and Scan2Match also brought tangible benefits to our business. We have already received around four to five enquiry emails from buyers in Hong Kong and Malaysia, successfully connecting with potential partners through the platform and effectively expanding our reach into overseas markets.
We are very satisfied with the overall arrangement of this year and will definitely return next year. We look forward to further expanding into the global Chinese community market through the HKTDC platform.
We successfully connected with overseas buyers from Japan, Egypt, India and Sri Lanka etc. Our premium and mid-to-high-end matcha ingredients have attracted the most interest, reflecting strong demand for quality matcha products in overseas markets.
HKTDC’s Click2Match platform has brought us additional business opportunities. Through the platform, we have received enquiries from buyers in different markets and have arranged meetings with potential buyers. Hong Kong serves as an important gateway connecting Chinese Mainland with international markets, while HKTDC’s extensive global buyer network provides Mainland companies like ours with a convenient channel to reach overseas markets.
The Tea Fair allows us to connect with professional buyers during the trade fair before engaging directly with consumers when it opens to the public. This dual format helps us understand market response to our matcha products while exploring new opportunities. Having both buyers and consumers at the same event is unique and valuable, which is why we return every year.
Making our debut at Food Expo PRO, we connected with potential buyers from Hong Kong, including traders, catering businesses, a seafood distributor and a coffee chain operator from the Chinese Mainland.
We hope to use the Hong Kong exhibition to further expand into Asian markets. Entering the Chinese Mainland market independently can be challenging due to import registration and market access requirements. The fair helped us meet traders and distributors from Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland, giving us valuable insights into their networks and distribution channels. It also demonstrated Hong Kong’s role as a gateway for Timor-Leste products to enter the Chinese Mainland and other Asian markets.
We also found HKTDC’s business-matching services, including Click2Match, valuable for connecting with potential buyers. As a first-time exhibitor, we will share this experience with our government agency and encourage greater use of HKTDC’s platforms to reach more overseas buyers.
We felt it was a valuable opportunity to participate in the Food Expo PRO, jointly promote Hong Kong's high quality pet food products to the Greater Bay Area, Southeast Asia, and globally.
The response at the expo has been very positive. During the event, we exchanged business contacts with around 20 to 30 potential connections. We established initial contact with the Consulate General of Vietnam, and a pet food association from Japan approached us to discuss introducing our QPP quality certification into Japan and other markets. We also engaged with interested buyers from Thailand, South Korea, and Guangzhou, as well as large chain restaurant groups in Hong Kong exploring pet friendly food options.
The greatest benefit of participating in this expo is seeing companies from Southeast Asia, overseas, and the Greater Bay Area gather in one place. This platform enables us to effectively showcase and expand Hong Kong pet food brands to international markets. We look forward to participating again next year.

This year marked GUOQUANSHIHUI’s first participation in Food Expo PRO, alongside Food Expo, providing opportunities to engage both professional buyers and consumers while testing market response beyond the Chinese Mainland.
Feedback at Food Expo PRO reinforced the company’s confidence that products developed and manufactured in the Chinese Mainland can appeal to consumers across different markets.
The response has been encouraging. During its debut, GUOQUANSHIHUI collected around 60 to 70 business leads from Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Australia, Romania and other European markets. Some have already progressed to discussions on potential orders and cooperation, with the company aiming to convert promising leads into long-term partnerships.
HKTDC’s international buyer network, business matching services and digital tools helped the company efficiently connect with potential partners and build an international business network through Hong Kong.
Together, Food Expo PRO and Food Expo provide a pathway from market testing and brand building to buyer engagement and potential orders, supporting the company’s expansion into international markets.
As a B2B food distributor in Brazil, we have identified 3 to 4 potential suppliers, including three from South Korea. Based on our preliminary discussions, we expect potential orders arising from the fair to exceed US$200,000.
Korean food is currently very popular in Brazil, and we see strong potential to introduce more of these products to our market. Attending the fair allows us to diversify our sourcing and establish direct relationships with overseas suppliers.
HKTDC's Scan2Match has made sourcing more efficient, allowing us to instantly access supplier information, compare potential suppliers and follow up after the fair.
Yihetang is a leading beverage chain in Mainland China with more than 8,000 stores nationwide. As we already work with established suppliers and factories, our sourcing needs are highly specific.
I appreciate that HKTDC continued to refine the matching after understanding our needs, connecting us with catering industry representatives and local brands relevant to our business.
Among the contacts made, two were particularly relevant, offering valuable insights and potential collaboration opportunities, including a supply-chain partner for a Hong Kong-style restaurant concept and KamCha, whose expertise in Hong Kong-style milk tea.
Matcha is our main sourcing priority at this fair, and we have identified two high-potential opportunities with Chinese Mainland suppliers. One involves tea and matcha-related products worth approximately US$2,000-3,000, while the other is a potential matcha order of around US$10,000.
HKTDC fair provides an efficient platform to identify and engage new suppliers, allowing us to connect directly with a wide range of Chinese Mainland suppliers, which fits well with our sourcing strategy.
Looking ahead, we hope to leverage HKTDC’s exhibition platform to turn the connections made at the fair into long-term sourcing partnerships.
This year, we are mainly sourcing Asian food and beverages, including products from the Chinese Mainland, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand and other Asian markets.
So far, we have met around 20 potential suppliers. We hope to identify suitable suppliers and products through the fair, with potential business valued at around US$1 million.
We are very impressed by the growing scale and international profile of the fair. It is a highly effective sourcing platform that allows us to explore products, meet suppliers face-to-face and discover sourcing opportunities across different Asian markets, giving us more options for expanding our supplier network in the future.
Food Expo PRO served as a bridge to connect with the Chinese Mainland suppliers and international business partners. HKTDC's Scan2Match platform streamlined our sourcing process by directly connecting me with 2 relevant potential partners. Through these sessions, I identified promising opportunities.
During the fair, I also identified an innovative dual-robot coffee brewing machine featuring customised photo-printing technology. I am currently evaluating a potential project valued at US$40,000.
Overall, the fair provided valuable exposure to new F&B technologies and targeted suppliers, generating actionable leads to support our business expansion in Kazakhstan.
We are Sichuan Xiaolongkan Holding Group, a leading Sichuan-style hot pot chain with over 3,000 stores worldwide under brands including Xiaolongkan and Shudaxia. Attending Food Expo PRO as a buyer for the first time, we came to explore new suppliers and market trends.
On the first day, we connected with three to four potential suppliers from the Chinese Mainland, covering lamb, pork and ready-to-drink tea products. HKTDC's Scan2Match system enabled us to collect supplier information instantly for follow-up.
Hong Kong's international platform supports our overseas expansion. We already operate dozens of stores across Europe and other regions, and have also visited the Halal Zone to learn more about certification requirements for our Middle East stores. The fair has provided valuable sourcing opportunities, and we look forward to further supplier meetings during the event.

Foodieland is a Singapore-based company specialising in beverages and snack food. This is our first time attending Food Expo PRO, and we are here to discover new products and suppliers to expand our range.
We have met with suppliers from Korea, Japan and Macao. Around half of them show potential for further cooperation. As we are in a trial stage, we estimate to spend around up to HKD 300,000 from this fair. The HKTDC's Scan2Match makes it easy to look back at products and suppliers we have scanned. We appreciate that everything is digital, so we do not need to carry around piles of catalogues.

China Pacific Catering Services mainly supply in-flight meals to China Airlines and other international carriers. This is our first time attending Food Expo PRO. We are here to source new suppliers for frozen vegetables from the Chinese Mainland, as well as seafood products such as shrimp and fish fillets. We are also looking for green and sustainable food options to support our parent company's carbon reduction goals.
Among the suppliers we met, around half showed strong potential for further cooperation. These companies are from Japan, the Chinese Mainland and Korea. We expect to source around TWD 1.5 million worth of in-flight meal ingredients through connections made at the fair.
Hong Kong’s proximity to Taiwan and the strong compatibility of Chinese Mainland food ingredients make this an ideal sourcing platform for us. The fair offers a wide range of products, and we particularly appreciate its focus on sustainable and environmentally friendly food solutions, which aligns well with our group’s sustainability objectives. We look forward to returning next year and plan to bring more members of our purchasing team to participate.
Valimex S.L is a company based in Valencia, Spain, with more than 50 years of experience in developing raw ingredients and retail products, primarily for the Latin American market. This is our first time attending Food Expo PRO as a buyer, and we are here to explore the Asian market. We are specifically sourcing oils, raw ingredients and canned foods from the Chinese Mainland with competitive pricing.
We have connected with potential suppliers from the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Korea, and a canned fruit and vegetable producer from Taiwan. We already have a customer in Panama looking for exactly these types of canned products. If the partnership works out, we estimate purchasing around six 40-foot containers per year, with each container holding about 40 tonnes.
Hong Kong serves as an ideal gateway for European companies to enter the Asian market, and the fair is well-organised with a strong international atmosphere. We appreciate HKTDC's efforts in bringing together quality suppliers from across the region. We will definitely return next year to continue exploring opportunities.
C&D Hotel Fuzhou is a luxury property under C&D Tourism Group, which operates around 30 hotels across Fujian Province. This is our first time attending Food Expo PRO, coming to source coffee, wine, dry goods and prepared food products for our F&B operations.
We connected with suppliers from the Chinese Mainland, Korea and Southeast Asia. A Korean herbal instant coffee and Yunnan's Skyline coffee beans particularly impressed us. Our single hotel spends around RMB 50,000 to 60,000 per month on coffee procurement. With six hotels in Fuzhou and over 2,000 rooms group-wide, our total monthly coffee procurement from this fair could reach around RMB 300,000.
Hong Kong acts as an international platform for us to be exposed to many brands unavailable in the Chinese Mainland market. We were particularly impressed by the smart coffee robot that roasts beans in seven minutes and the automatic wonton and noodle cooking vending machine, both of which could reduce labour costs in hotel settings. We look forward to returning next year.
