Exmart International Private Limited is an Indian company specialising in gifts items, with nearly 30 years of export experience in home decor, textiles and accessories, kitchen linens and related products.
Through the hktdc.com Sourcing platform, we actively promote our latest products and receive steady stream of enquiries each month from buyers in the United States, South Africa, Malaysia and the Philippines. These buyers show strong interest in our Indian textile products, while our long-standing clients can conveniently preview new product catalogues online ahead of trade fairs, laying a solid foundation for subsequent discussions.
Since 2007, we have consistently participated in HKTDC trade fairs, particularly as regular exhibitors at the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair. These events effectively attract quality buyers from the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand, supporting our expansion into global markets. Each fair generates new business contacts and contributes up to US$200,000 in annual order value.
Ecoworld Limited, headquartered in Hong Kong, specialises in eco-friendly disposable products made from patented raw materials, ensuring that its products meet 100% home compostable and plastic-free standards.
The hktdc.com Sourcing platform has become a cornerstone of our international expansion, enabling us to clearly present multiple international certifications, including BPI, FSC, GRS, TÜV Austria and SGS. These credentials are crucial for building immediate trust with professional buyers. Combined with pre-fair buyer email promotion and promotion through Boosters, the platform has significantly increased our visibility and generated steady enquiries from buyers in the United States, Türkiye and Poland.
As a first-time exhibitor at the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair and a Premium Package exhibitor, we have clearly experienced the effectiveness of the HKTDC’s EXHIBITION+ online-to-offline promotional model. Some buyers had already viewed our company profile on the platform before the fair, so when they arrive at our booth, they already had a basic understanding of our paper-based products and could move straight into more in-depth discussions. The Scan2Match feature also greatly improved communication efficiency, as buyers could instantly access our product range digitally without needing physical business cards or catalogues.
We were also invited to join the fair’s buyer business matching event, where we successfully connected with a major Japanese chain supermarket that showed strong interest in our best-selling product lines. Buyer delegations organised by HKTDC from Japan and Malaysia also facilitated several promising business exchanges.
The EXHIBITION+ integrated online-to-offline platform helps us expand globally. In the current challenging tariff environment, this diversified market strategy is especially important to us and has become a key pillar of our stable development.
The fair is where we showcase our latest products, demonstrating improvements from previous collections. We typically make around 120 new contacts at each fair. Scan2Match is also particularly useful, allowing visitors to scan our information as they pass by. As an environmentally focused company, having buyers use digital means to save our information is especially important to us.
Our main goals are to build brand awareness and reach overseas distributors through the fair. Hong Kong’s status as a free trading hub gives it a unique advantage for international business. We’ve met around 20 buyers a day from the Middle East, India, the Chinese Mainland, and Southeast Asia such as Vietnam and Indonesia. The Middle East is a particularly exciting new market for us, and the fair is helping us go global.
We have participated the fair for over a decade as a platform to promote our brand and connect with both global clients and local buyers in Hong Kong. We typically make around 10 new contacts per day during the fair; reaching buyers from countries across Southeast Asia including Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines, as well as clients from all over Europe. The fair has been instrumental in helping us expand globally and connect with new partners worldwide.
Hong Kong is vitally important because it is the gateway to the world. During the 25 years we have been participating in the fair, approximately two-thirds of our business has been generated through the fair. This year in the fair, we’ve received over 35 buyers so far, including a large retail company in Canada, and buyers from Australia, Japan and Korea.
Previously, I attended the exhibition as a visitor. This year, we decided to participate as an exhibitor. This fair is the best trading platform for the gift industry. On the first day alone, we connected with around 40 new clients from Asia, Europe, the United States and Africa, and received enquiries for customised products. We anticipate potential orders over the course of the fair to total around US$1 million.
We aim at expanding our overseas business, the fair has definitely helped us go global, providing the connections we need to reach further abroad. For instance, the Taiwan and Japanese distributors we secured last year in the fair are still working with us today. This event is a crucial platform for our continued international expansion. So far, we have met 40 buyers from a wide variety of regions, including the Chinese Mainland, Vietnam, Thailand, France, Spain, Russia, UK, Turkiye, the US, and more.
The fair is highly specialised in gifts and premiums, while also reflecting wider lifestyle and consumer trends. The Reimagine themed floor brought together cultural creative, innovative and design elements, enabling buyers to capture market trends and evolving lifestyle in one place. The featured zones such as the Smart Design Global Awards, Selection of ASEAN and The Bespoke Hub also helped buyers discover design-led, customised and regionally inspired gift ideas. I plan to spend US$200,000 on keychains and magnets from a Hong Kong exhibitor.
Hong Kong is an excellent location for this fair because it brings together suppliers from many neighbouring and international markets, including Taiwan, Cambodia, Vietnam and the Chinese Mainland. It feels like a true regional and global sourcing hub. The Reimagine themed floor also creates strong synergy between gifts and homeware inspiration, allowing buyers to see materials, packaging and creative design ideas together.
The previous visit was very successful, as we found a packaging partner and a keyring supplier that we still work with today. So far this year, we have already identified two to three potential suppliers, mainly from the Chinese Mainland and Taiwan, for enamel products and keychains. We are looking forward to discovering more suppliers because the fair allows us to gain a broad overview of different products, materials, packaging ideas and design concepts in one place.
This fair is the gold standard and the benchmark for gift shows. There is always something new coming from Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland, especially in design and utility items. Click2Match and Scan2Match enhance our ability to transact business and increase transparency, in addition to face-to-face, as the backbone of successful deals.
I've been attending the event almost every year since 1989. Typically, our business involves sourcing from 15 suppliers in each edition, dealing mainly with Hong Kong companies, though shipments come from various parts of the Chinese Mainland, including Fujian, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Shanghai. The fair acts as a bridge connecting us with factories in the Chinese Mainland. We typically spend between US$25,000 and US$75,000 per company, and overall our annual spend ranges from US$200,000 up to US$500,000.
The fair is a useful sourcing platform and the timing works well for us. Hong Kong is also very easy to access, making it convenient for international buyers to meet suppliers from the Chinese Mainland and other markets in one trip. We have identified three potential suppliers, mainly from the Chinese Mainland. The product quality we have seen is good, and we expect to follow up with these suppliers after returning home. The potential order value could be around US$30,000
I have been the fair around 14 to 15 times over the years. Hong Kong is very convenient for us because it is easy to travel to, familiar, safe and much easier for communication. The suppliers in this fair are easier to approach, and the quality of exhibitors is generally more suitable for our sourcing needs.
The Reimagine themed floor is useful because it brings together gifts, homeware and lifestyle ideas. Walking through the wider fair gives us new ideas and inspiration. Trends such as eco-friendly materials, bamboo, new colours and creative product updates are also useful for understanding what may work for our clients.
Scan2Match is helpful because we meet many suppliers during the fair. Being able to scan, save favourites, take notes and keep product photos together makes follow-up much easier. The fair is an effective platform for discovering new suppliers, seeing product trends and sourcing ideas for the Australian events and promotional market.
It’s my first time at the Gift & Premium Fair, most of the exhibitors here offer products relevant to our needs, which is a big advantage. Hong Kong’s unique position as a sourcing hub means we can spend less time at the fair but walk away with three times as many promising leads. We expect to make around a total of 20 contacts and 10 solid leads from the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.
The Scan2Match system is especially useful for saving company descriptions, much better than relying on business cards, which are easy to misplace.
We are looking to distribute kitchen goods and housewares in Japan. Since more than a decade ago, we frequently attended HKTDC fairs to discover products not available in Japan, which was great for our catalogue.
At this year’s fair, we met 5 promising exhibitors offering health-related goods, pillows, and lunchboxes. The fair is an excellent stepping stone for accessing suppliers in the Chinese Mainland and the wider market. Our annual budget for a single company is around US$1,000,000, and we are open to repeat orders if the partnership is successful.
Hong Kong’s strength lies in its role as a super-connector, enabling international buyers to access Chinese Mainland manufacturing, regional suppliers and global design idea, all within a single trip.
The fair is a highly valuable platform for discovering new suppliers, strengthening existing partnerships, identifying product trends and expanding our gifting business.
The Reimagine themed floor is particularly useful, bringing together gifts, homeware and creative lifestyle inspiration in one place. It helps us look beyond traditional gift categories and explore new ideas across seasonal, female and lifestyle gifting.
In terms of business potential, our sourcing value could reach approximately US$1 million to US$5 million.
The biggest value of the fair is that it allows us to see product quality in person. At the fair, we can meet suppliers directly, examine samples and confirm whether they are suitable for long-term cooperation. Hong Kong remains an important sourcing platform, it connects professional suppliers from the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong with international buyers.
In the first two days, we have visited more than 30 suppliers, including both existing suppliers and new potential partners. The fair has largely met our expectations, and we have already found the key product directions we were looking for. Our expected order value could reach around US$200,000 to US$250,000
