In business for 16 years, KC Lighting specialises in the design and production of architectural lighting. About 80% of our business comes from international customers who are using our ODM and OEM services, while the rest is for Chinese Mainland projects. We have been participating in both the Spring Lighting Fair and the Autumn Lighting Fair since 2017. The Hall of Aurora provides an ideal marketing platform for us to promote our brand’s character and image and to launch our new products and new systems. We have already started business negotiations with new buyers from Asia and South America. We are confident in securing new orders through this fair.
In business for 13 years, NIZ, now rebranded as Mango Lighting Solution Company, is a leading lighting company in Korea with an annual sales turnover of US$20 million. Backed by our factory in Zhongshan on the Chinese Mainland, we produce high-quality table lamps, floor lamps, hanging lamps, solar lighting and reading lamps with cute and simple designs that are ideal for use in homes, hotels, cafes and restaurants. This is our debut appearance in the Spring Lighting Fair because we are keen to export our ODM/OEM lighting products to the global market. The fair provides an excellent opportunity for us to meet international buyers from different countries and regions such as the Chinese Mainland, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Poland, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and the US. A buyer from a famous home furnishings store in Japan already placed an order for six samples. Based on buyers’ overwhelming responses, we expect that we can make more than 100 new contacts during the four-day expo and solid sales leads can generate US$70 million in sales revenue to our company this year.”
Evermore Enterprise (Zhejiang) Limited, established in 1999, specialises in the production of various lighting products, including streetlights, downlights, floodlights and motif lights. The company also provides customised lighting solutions for the retail market and supports large-scale projects, with Europe as its primary customer base.
Through hktdc.com Sourcing, we can present our products to our European partners. The platform brings us a steady stream of enquiries every month, mainly from target markets such as the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy, as well as from less familiar markets including the Philippines, Thailand, Australia, and South Africa. For a Chinese Mainland-based company like ours, the platform provides a reliable channel to go global, helping us connect with more overseas buyers and expand our international business.
In terms of physical exhibitions, the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair has long been an important platform for us to deepen buyer relationships. The fair has not only helped us build long-term partnerships with two European buyers, but the online-offline matching services arranged by HKTDC have also played a key role. Through the buyer’s guided tour and Click2Match, interested potential buyers can connect with us directly, making follow-up easier and helping us continue to open new markets, strengthen our customer base, and further drive global business growth.
Foshan Goldenshell Lighting Company Limited is a high-end original designer and manufacturer of decorative lighting fixtures. We showcased our award-winning table lamp on hktdc.com Sourcing. The product was previously exhibited in an Italian museum and has also been well received by European buyers, so we wanted to use the platform to reach more potential clients. For us, displaying certificates and awards directly on the platform is an important step in helping target buyers quickly recognise our product quality and market potential. Through the platform, we also received enquiries from new markets such as Canada and Mexico, and arranged meetings with these buyers during the fair to further explore markets we had not previously reached.
HKTDC's EXHIBITION+ model provides us with a seamless online-offline gateway for going global, enabling us to connect more effectively with international buyers and continuously expand our business worldwide. In our first participation in the Lighting Fair last year, we successfully closed a deal with a German brand worth several million RMB, demonstrating the substantial business opportunities that HKTDC platforms can bring to exhibitors.
Dolor is an importer and distributor of LED lighting products in Poland. We sell to retailers in Poland and other European countries through our showroom and online store. We visit both the Spring and Autumn Lighting Fairs regularly to look for new suppliers. The Click2Match platform is important and effective to us because it serves as a first step for us to connect with potential suppliers for further negotiations. At this fair, we have connected with three potential suppliers from the Chinese Mainland. We plan to purchase US$50,000 worth of LED sheets, LED connectors and COB strips from these new suppliers. COB strips are more popular than LED strips because their appearance looks more elegant and prices are cheaper.
My main goal of visiting the twin lighting fairs for the first time is to look for reliable suppliers who can provide solar-powered stadium lighting and sports lighting for three international schools being under construction in Kazakhstan. Through the HKTDC’s Click2Match meetings, I have identified three potential suppliers from the Chinese Mainland. We plan to purchase US$600,000-900,000 worth of stadium lighting and sports lighting from the twin lighting fairs for the three school projects. We are happy to have found what we need at the fairs.
RS Decoration designs, supplies and builds decorative, indoor and outdoor lighting for commercial buildings and millionaire houses in Cambodia. Construction industry is developing rapidly in Cambodia, especially for commercial buildings and millionaire houses. I am going to bid for 14 new construction projects. That is why I have come here to source suitable lighting products and suppliers and prepare proposals. Based on previous cooperation experience, I have a high chance of getting these projects. At the twin lighting fairs, I have met with more than 20 new suppliers and identified two potential suppliers of smart street lights, solar lights and decorative lighting products. I plan to buy US$100,000 worth of smart street lights for my wholesale business.
Our company operates a B2B and B2C e-commerce shop selling LED strip lights and smart home lighting kits in the US market. Apart from sourcing LED strip lights and smart home lighting kits, I am looking into the possibility of expanding our product portfolio into wall washers at the Smart Lighting Expo and the Spring Lighting Fair. So far, I have got in touch with three interesting suppliers for the supply of smart home lighting kits, gaming lights, rechargeable wall lights, RGB pixel IP68 flexible LED neon lights and wall washers. It is very likely that I’ll place a trial order with a new supplier of smart home lighting kits, gaming lights and rechargeable wall lights for 100 pieces per item. The twin lighting fairs held in April in Hong Kong provide the best place for me to purchase directly from Chinese Mainland suppliers. Smart home lighting kits are very popular in the US market because consumers simply plug and play.
X Koren Electric is a lighting wholesaler and manufacturer in Turkey, exporting lighting products to 40 countries and regions. At the twin lighting fairs, I am looking for a wide range of lighting products covering LED bulbs, floodlights, street lights, smart lighting solutions, sensor lights and down lights. Up till now, I have found 5-10 potential suppliers and asked for their samples and quotations. I am particularly interested in new products like smart sensors and smart poles. I plan to purchase US$1-2 million worth of lighting products from both existing and new suppliers who are participating in the twin lighting fairs. In fact, I visit both the Spring Lighting Fair and the Autumn Lighting Fair every year to see what’s new in the lighting industry and also meet new and old friends.
We undertake various industrial and commercial lighting projects in Singapore. We visit the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair twice a year. This time we are sourcing stadium lights, UFO lights, high bay lights and IP65 tri-proof lights for three government projects. Smart lighting is widely used in our government products to save energy. We have found four to five potential suppliers who can have the capabilities to cooperate with us for the production of ODM lighting products. We’ll place orders for US$35,000 worth of UFO lights and US$10,000-12,000 worth of emergency lights with two suppliers from the Chinese Mainland respectively.
In business for 50 years in Japan, our company manufactures power supplies and LED drivers for the domestic market. As we are going to sell sensor lights, emergency lights and new lighting products through e-commerce platforms in May, we started to look for reliable suppliers at last year’s Autumn Lighting Fair. To continue our sourcing journey, we come to Hong Kong again to visit the Spring Lighting Fair and the Smart Lighting Expo. We have talked to potential suppliers of LED flood lights and multi-functional smart lighting products featuring wireless/USB charging and Bluetooth speakers. As a start, we plan to buy US$10,000 worth of new products. The twin fairs also provide a good opportunity for us to see the latest technologies and market trends.
We are an importer, wholesaler and etailer of lighting products and electronics products in Hungary. We sell our products to businesses and consumers in Europe online. Solar lighting and RGB smart lighting are best sellers in our markets. This is my first time visiting the Spring Lighting Fair and the Smart Lighting Expo. At this fair, I have found three to four potential suppliers from the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong who provide new designs for solar lighting and RGB smart lighting. Our trial order is 100-200 pieces. If the products sell very well, our next order will be 1,000 pieces. We are keen to source directly from suppliers instead of relying on our buying agent in the Chinese Mainland. We would like to visit the lighting fairs in Hong Kong again.
