Indonesia’s Food and Drug Authority (BPOM) has issued BPOM Regulation No. 11 of 2026 on Food Packaging, effective 30 June 2026, replacing the 2019 regulation. The updated framework introduces stricter requirements for food contact materials (FCMs), strengthens chemical safety and expands compliance obligations. Existing food packaging products have 12 months to comply.
