Ms Clare Wong is an Assistant Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) in charge of exhibitions. The HKTDC is the statutory organisation responsible for promoting and developing Hong Kong's external trade.
Ms Wong started her career with the IBM Corporation in Hong Kong and in Toronto. She joined the Council in 1992, managing its research and information services. In 1999, she was charged with the responsibility of setting up the E-commerce Department and launching the HKTDC’s online presence through its website and trade portal www.hktdc.com. In 2005, Ms Wong was appointed as Director, heading up both the HKTDC's Publications and E-commerce divisions. In her role as Assistant Executive Director, from March 2011, Ms Wong oversees all aspects of the HKTDC's Exhibitions Department, including planning, running and enhancing existing trade fairs as well as developing new trade fairs in Hong Kong.
Ms Wong graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Science degree and attained a Master of Management from the Macquarie University. She has attended the Stanford Executive Program organised by the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2010.
