The firm has three major departments:
The Corporate and Commercial Department has a pool of highly skilled and experienced lawyers handling corporate finance transactions, initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, purchase and sale of companies, real estate development projects, joint ventures, syndicated loans, trusts, tax and estate duty planning, general commercial work and on-going compliance by publicly listed companies. The Department also has a PRC Division which deals mainly with PRC related projects covering property conveyancing, initial public offerings, advisory work for infrastructural projects in Mainland China, formation of Sino-foreign joint ventures, project financing, and notary services.
The Conveyancing Department has extensive experience in acting for developers in handling development and leasing projects of residential, commercial and industrial properties, conveyancing transactions, and advising on the financing arrangement for property projects.
The Litigation Department deals mainly with dispute resolution in all areas of civil law ranging from pre-litigation advice, legal proceedings in courts of all levels in Hong Kong, proceedings before various statutory boards and tribunals, co-ordination of litigation process in other jurisdictions (where overseas lawyers are instructed), domestic and international arbitration and enforcement of judgments and awards both in Hong Kong and in other jurisdictions as well as settlement negotiation.
