Description
Château BEAUVILLAGE is the legacy of three successive generations of passionate winemakers, entirely devoted to their land.
Since its creation in 1925, this propriety  has experienced a boom multiplying by four  its area. Over the years, wisdom and dynamism have inspired the work of this family, combining  the  characteristics of a  secular “terroir “to modernism of current technologies.
Each step of the winemaking is monitored and controlled exclusively by the owners.
The parcels of the vineyard of Château Beauvillage are located in the communes of Couquèques, Civrac and Saint-Christoly Medoc, in the heart of the Médoc peninsula.

VINEYARD
  • Soil: calcareous and clay, sand and gravels (subsoil mainly limestone)
  • Area  : 22,5 ha
  • Grape-varieties  : 55 % Merlot 45  % Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Average age of the  vines : 35 years old

VINIFICATION
  • Harvest  : mechanical—de stemming and sorting-out  in the cellar
  • Vinification :  cold  maceration before fermentation for 3 to 5 days
  • Fermentation :  traditional by grape-variety; control of temperatures
  • Ageing : 12 to 14 months in oak barrels

TASTINGS COMMENTS
  • Color   : Bright and dark crimson color
  • Nose : frank and elegant ; at first  it reveals notes of red fruits and  intensifies on “Burlat” cherry.
  • Mouth : soft attack on delicate tannins, it is well  balanced, silky and delicious. A wine of great intensity, remaining at the final.
  • We would recommend opening and decanting Château BEAUVILLAGE 2014 one hour before serving  to reveal  its flavors and finesse and also to soften the toasted notes.
