Mr Olness said: “This morning, we have met with representatives from facility and property management looking for technology to monitor their main metres and circuit breakers, as well as potential distributers from the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong. We are really pleased with what we have achieved so far.”

The USA-based Met One Instruments, a leading provider of meteorological and particular monitoring systems was able to connect with Chinese mainland government officials at the Eco Expo Asia Luncheon. The company’s Director of Sales,
Mr Hong said: “During the luncheon we were able to connect with senior representatives from the Guangzhou Environmental Protection Board. This was an important opportunity for us to explain to influential decision makers how our monitoring systems can used in the industrial and commercial sectors to measure air quality. We have made arrangements to follow with their technical people after the show.”

First time exhibitor Hadronex from the USA presented proprietary technology which monitors wastewater systems and prevents septic sewer overflows. Mr Markus Koscher, the company’s Sales Manager said: “At Eco Expo Asia we can meet with senior Chinese government officials and owners of companies wanting wastewater solutions. As 50 percent of our business comes from the Chinese mainland it’s important that we be here to promote our brand. We came here to establish connections and grow our business interests in Southern China and believe we have achieved that from the contacts we have made during the show.”

Exhibiting at Eco Expo Asia for a fifth consecutive year is Charankattu, India’s largest manufacturer and exporter of coir geotextile products.
