The 25th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition), the 8th Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, and the 18th Eco Expo Asia, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), concluded their physical events on a high note. The three exhibitions attracted some 62,000 buyers from 145 countries and regions.

Eco Expo Asia 2023, jointly organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and co-organised by the Environment and Ecology Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), opened at AsiaWorld-Expo today and runs until Sunday 29 October. The event attracts over 300 exhibitors from 13 countries and regions, showcasing a wide range of innovative environmental technologies and projects and serves as a quality business platform for the industry. Under the EXHIBITION+ hybrid model, exhibitors, industry players and buyers worldwide can connect via the smart business matching platform Click2Match until 6 November. The last day of the physical event on 29 October will open to the public for free, to encourage sustainable activities and green-living practises.

Eco Expo Asia 2023 will be held at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong from 26 – 29 October, with online business matching services “Click2Match” available from 19 October to 6 November. The exhibition will bring together leaders from Mainland Chinese regions and overseas, with new pavilions for Jiangsu and Hunan provinces, the cities of Shanghai and Zhongshan, the Macao SAR as well as a debut hydrogen pavilion from Hong Kong. These new additions come alongside returning pavilions from Japan, Canada, Hong Kong, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, presenting solutions to the most imminent global climate issues.

Eco Expo Asia 2023 will take place from 26 – 29 October at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. The four-day Expo runs until 17 December and adopts the brand-new EXHIBITION+ model, which allows exhibitors and buyers to extend interactions from the physical fair to the online platform “Click2Match” until 24 December. As part of the show’s overall focus on “Green Innovations for Carbon Neutrality”, hydrogen technologies will be highlighted throughout next week’s Eco Expo Asia, including a hydrogen fuel cell bus on display to the public. The fair will take place from 14 – 17 December at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, with the last day (17 December) open to the public. In addition, online services will run until 24 December.

Three country and region pavilions will be returning to Eco Expo Asia 2022 including the Canada, Hong Kong and Japan pavilions, the latter of which will represent its largest iteration yet. With both Hong Kong and Japan recently lifting mandatory hotel quarantine measures, the stage has been set for both regions to deepen cooperation between their respective environmental protection industries. As such, the fair is expecting increased overseas participation in terms of exhibitors and visitors this year.
