The 17th Entrepreneur Day (E-Day), hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, was held on 4-5 December at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre with great success, bringing together stakeholders, startups and industry leaders from various sectors to explore global opportunities. The event provided a platform for startups to showcase their innovative solutions. The 2025's edition featured over 360 startups, invention projects and support services from 11 countries and regions, more than 80 industry leaders participated in seminars, and facilitated more than 320 business matching meetings. The 15th Business of IP Asia Forum (BIP Asia Forum), jointly organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR Government), together with the 17th Entrepreneur Day (E-Day), hosted by the HKTDC, are held on 4-5 December 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The two flagship annual events bring together over 180 speakers and more than 420 start-ups, innovative projects and start-up support organisations, offering a strong line-up of programmes designed to advance the exchange and application of innovation and technology (I&T) and intellectual property (IP). Sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and co-organised by the Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), DesignInspire 2025 is held concurrently on 4-6 December 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The two events feature forums, exhibitions, competitions, workshops, and business matching sessions. More than 160 global intellectual property (IP) owners, users, experts, industry leaders, venture capitalists, and other prominent figures have gathered to discuss IP commercialisation, valuation and branding, cross-industry applications, emerging trends in innovation and technology (I&T), opportunities in the Greater Bay Area, ASEAN, and international prospects. Over 400 start-ups and innovative projects are showcased their products and technologies. DesignInspire, held concurrently on 5-7 December 2024 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, brings together global design and creative leaders, trendsetting brands, associations, and academies to promote next generation creativity through a series of interactive exhibits, design masterpieces, and award-winning projects.

Start-ups are fuelling up the global economy by their innovative solutions. Under the theme “Balance Beyond the Boom”, the 14th HKTDC Entrepreneur Day presented the latest tech trends and explored the development of international start-up ecosystem after the start-up boom and facilitated start-ups to tap into global markets, especially GBA and RCEP member regions. The three-day event held on 30 November to 2 December 2022 showcased a hybrid mix of online and physical seminars and exhibitions, offering a one-stop shop for start-ups, prospective entrepreneurs and investors to explore new opportunities and accelerate innovation together in the post-pandemic world.
