Title of Design: Spring Bird
Designer: Ms Chan Wing Lam
School: School of Continuing Education Hong Kong Baptist University
Category: Pendant/Brooch
Description: The design is inspired by the Chinese Revolving Horse Lanterns, it is often used as a metaphor for life. The light projects images on the lantern which reflects different life stages and events as it spins. Light and shadow work together to produce the stunning projections.
Life inevitably comes with ups and downs. Why not embrace
negativity and find a way out during the dark times? Think of it
as birds returning to the north from the south after the lapse of
winter. Spring always come after winter, and the cycle of life
starts all over again.
