Inspired by Song Brocade, a traditional silk weaving craft from China’s Song Dynasty and one of the Four Great Brocades of China, this design draws from an important element of China’s intangible cultural heritage. Renowned for its intricate techniques and refined materials, Song Brocade was historically reserved for imperial garments as well as furnishings in scholars’ residences, including screens, cushions, and book covers. For its exceptional craftsmanship and cultural significance, it is honored as the “Crown of Brocade,” representing the pinnacle of Chinese textile artistry.

The design centers on an enamel butterfly as its visual focus, evoking the image of a delicately embroidered butterfly resting upon Song Brocade. Natural diamonds are set around the motif, enhancing the piece with refined brilliance and graceful movement of light.
