Fouetté Ballerina Watch is an iconic design from our company that features a 3D handcrafted ballerina dancing on a mother of pearl dial. We have chosen Salon de TE as the platform to announce the soft launch of the ‘Designa’ collection because the fair attracts many watch enthusiasts. The ‘Designa’ collection consists of three new designs including ‘Geisha’ which won the Open Group Champion in the 39th Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition, but it is not yet available for sale in retail shops. We are happy to have met with five to six local etailers and retailers who have made serious enquiries about our watches. We are offering 20-30% off on selected items at the fair. We have seen many office workers come to d buy our products at weekend. We are optimistic about our onsite sales.
Inspire Workshop Limited
As a leading producer of watch straps, we are participating in the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair again to further increase our exposure and introduce our new products to B2B customers. As this year’s fair is also open to the general public, we are selling our watch straps at special prices. Sustainability is now the key driver in our product development. At the fair, we are showcasing a new collection of eco-friendly watch straps using bio-based materials such as corn, apples and cactus, and RPET made from ocean bottles. Trade buyers have shown positive responses to our new products. Thanks the HKTDC for using various channels to publicise the fair, this year’s visitor traffic is higher than last year. We have received overwhelming responses from public visitors. We expect to reach a 5-digit onsite sales figure. On the B2B side, we are so happy to have received a 6-digit order from a new buyer. After the fair, we’ll have online meetings with 20 buyers from Southeast Asia through the Click2Match platform.

Romago, a Swiss brand for trendy watches, launched the 18K Gold LuminFusion Carbon Sand Watch in July this year. This self-winding watch features an 18K gold foil carbon fibre case, with the case and bezel emitting a golden glow in the dark. The Salon de TE is an excellent platform for us to promote this new collection to the general public and to look for retailers and distributors. Since this new collection is innovative and great value for money, it has been well-received by public visitors. At the fair, we have found one to two potential business partners who are local retailers. Besides, through the Click2Match platform, we have arranged 10 online meetings to meet with overseas buyers after the fair.

Our continued participation in the Salon de TE under the pandemic has demonstrated our confidence in Hong Kong’s watch and clock industry and our support to the HKTDC show. This annual event serves as an ideal platform for us to launch new products and meet with potential buyers. As this year’s Salon de TE is open to both industry players and the general public, we can take this good opportunity to have face-to-face interactions with customers and collect their direct feedback. During the fair period, we hosted four product launch events to present our four new tourbillon collections, namely ‘Ebullience Tourbillon’, ‘Fencing Series’, ‘So Wa Wai Series’ and ‘Biker 2.0 Tourbillon’. Customers are very interested in our tourbillon watches. We expect the five-day fair will generate onsite sales of HK$200,000-300,000 for our company. Our best seller is ‘Genesis Series’.
Chit Tat Clock and Watch Company Limited
As overseas buyers are unable to visit the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair under the pandemic, we focus on selling our stocks to consumers at the fair. To meet the needs of consumers, we are offering a wide range of watches at wholesale prices ranging from HK$400 to HK$6,000. Our best-selling items are water-resistant solid stainless steel watches incorporating Japanese or Swiss movements. We expect that our sales turnover will reach HK$800,000 during the five-day fair. Apart from joining the physical fair, we have arranged more than 20 online meetings with overseas buyers via the HKTDC’s Click2Match platform.

To echo with the eco-friendly concept of MINI electric vehicles, we launched MINI green watches globally in September this year. To reduce ocean waste and plastic pollution, we have upcycled fish nets and plastic bottles to recreate watch cases and bracelets respectively for MINI green watches. We hosted a grand product launch event on the first day of the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair which was attended by more than 200 guests and media representatives. As people are more environmentally conscious, this green watch collection is the talk of the town. We have already sold about 1,000 pieces of MINI green watches to visitors at the fair. On the B2B side, a new buyer is interested in bringing MINI green watches to the US and South American markets, while another new buyer from Mainland China is keen to cooperate with us by investing in the development of a new eco-friendly product. Overall speaking, responses from both public visitors and trade buyers have been overwhelming.

Chief Operating Officer
Mira Watch International Ltd.
Our company is the sole agent of Doxa, a Swiss watch brand and Coinwatch, an Australian watch brand in the Greater China region and Southeast Asia. Due to the pandemic, overseas buyers are still unable to come to the Salon de TE. This year our goal is to promote Doxa and Coinwatch to local consumers. In view of last year’s good sales performance, we have doubled the size of our booth and transformed it into a watch shop. We sell our stocks by offering up to 50% off to customers. This year’s fair has very good traffic. Since there are not many Swiss-made watches on sale at the fairground and our watches are sold at affordable prices, customers’ responses have been very good. Average per capita spending of customers at our booth is about HK$4,000-5,000. A mechanical sports watch priced at HK$10,000 sells well at the fair. We hope this year’s onsite sales turnover will reach HK$1 million.
Launched in April this year, CIEL is an up-and-coming Hong Kong watch brand using Ronda mechanical movements. The Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and the concurrent Salon de TE provide an excellent opportunity for me to make new connections with exhibitors, understand more about the Hong Kong market and source watch parts and components. At the two fairs, I have talked to five exhibitors including a movement supplier, two brand owners and related trade associations. Besides, I used HKTDC’s Click2Match smart business-matchingplatform to schedule face-to-face meetings with exhibitors before the fairs.
Headquartered in Switzerland, Hagenos Ltd provides a sourcing and technology platform that supports famous watch brands from design, development to production. I visit the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair regularly to look for parts and components. At this year’s fair, I am looking for cases, straps, new materials and new technologies. By using the HKTDC’s Click2Match smart business-matching, I have had physical meetings with four parts and components suppliers at the fair. I am particularly interested in eco-friendly watch straps. Apart from finding parts and components, the fair also provides a good opportunity for me to assess the latest watch trends and know more about the market situation under the pandemic.

Brand Management Director
Jia He Brand Management Company
Our company has been operating a TV shopping platform in Mainland China for more than 10 years and owns two brands namely AD and Tristan. I visit the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair regularly to look for OEM suppliers and branded watches. Since mechanical watches equipped with Swiss movements are very popular among consumers in Mainland China, I want to find suitable mechanical watch suppliers that can meet our requirements in terms of quality, design concepts and styles. Apart from having business negotiations with two existing suppliers, I have also found few new suppliers of branded watches. I will continue to meet more exhibitors on HKTDC’s Click2Match after this visit.
Gate Gourmet Hong Kong
I have a watch shop in Hong Kong selling popular watches from international brands such as dive watches, quartz watches and automatic watches. I visit the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair in order to keep abreast of the latest watch trends and to find new products. At the fair, I am very interested in a local watch brand. Since this local watch brand is comparable to Swiss watch brands in terms of quality, craftsmanship, design and functions, I will liaise with the brand owner for cooperation. Also, I have found two potential suppliers of affordable watches from Swiss brands.
