4 March 2010 - Following a highly successful debut in 2009, the HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair 2010 (Spring Edition) will continue to light up the industry with green ideas from 13 to 16 April 2010 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
More than half of booths at the fairground will be offering different kinds of LED products to meet the increasing demand for highly efficient yet energy-saving lighting products, aligning with the global trend of environmental protection.
Benjamin Chau, Deputy Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) said, “Going green is definitely the direction for lighting products in the years ahead. The scope of LED lighting applications has expanded from conventional outdoor landscape to general commercial and even residential usage. The Spring Edition will emphasis on the latest developments in this important industry trend, making it easy for buyers to source for the busy autumn/winter season.”
The Spring Edition will also serve as an information exchange platform, where new technologies and new designs as well as the latest market intelligence and updates on industry standards will be presented at a series of seminars and conferences. In line with the LED lighting focus, the Fair organises “Symposium on LED Lighting – Sustainability and New Technologies”, which invites industry leaders and academics to share their insights and to forecast the evolution of industry trends. Other events will cover new lighting product launches as well as unveil up-to-date lighting product designs.
The HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair 2010 (Spring Edition) will bring bright business opportunities to over 300 exhibitors from seven countries and regions, with exhibiting zones including LED lighting, green lighting, technical lighting, decorative lighting and lighting accessories and components.
The Fair will run concurrently with the HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) and HKTDC International ICT Expo.
