We start accepting pre-orders for our new collections at the fair. We have got in touch with new buyers from Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam. Young consumers who are HKTVmall’s major customers generally favour Japanese brands. At this year’s fair, I have set up five meetings through the Click2Match platform and also visited other booths. I find Scan2Match very useful because it allows me to scan exhibitors’ QR codes to bookmark key information related to exhibitors. So far, I have found one potential OEM supplier of analog and digital watches and I am also interested in four to five fashion watch brands from Hong Kong, Mainland China and Malaysia. I have already placed a trial order for 1,500 fashion watches with a new supplier from Hong Kong. I will buy US$100,000 worth of watches through this fair.

With an office in the MENA region, Dabaan Group is a watch manufacturer and distributor. I have visited the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair for more than 10 times. I am so happy to attend the fair again this year. This physical fair provides an ideal platform for me to meet both new and existing suppliers in person and see their product quality and assess the global trends. I have met with six new suppliers and 11 existing suppliers. So far, I have already placed orders worth US$400,000 in total with five watch suppliers. I am going to place two new orders for complete watches worth US$100,000 and purchase US$25,000 worth of watch displays. I have tried the HKTDC’s Click2Match service which is very useful and the brand-new Scan2Match function provides a perfect way for me to keep exhibitor information.

To look for OEM suppliers, I have attended more than 30 meetings including six meetings arranged through Click2Match platform. So far, I have found three potential suppliers of watch boxes and classic watches from Hong Kong and Mainland China. I have decided to buy US$150,000 worth of stainless watches from a Hong Kong supplier and place an order with a packaging supplier from Mainland China for US$50,000 worth of watch boxes. It is crucial to join the Hong Kong fair because I can see product innovations and make my business more sustainable.

Chilli Beans has more than 1,000 lifestyle product stores in Brazil, selling watches and clocks as well as sunglasses. Currently, we have 220 models for traditional watches, but for smart watches, we only have three models. As we are expanding our smart watch business, we are looking for smart watches at the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair this year. Click2Match is a useful platform that saves my time in setting up meetings with target suppliers. After attending seven Click2Match meetings and four self-arranged meetings, we have identified three potential suppliers of smart watches because their product quality is good. We will place orders for US$90,000 worth of smart watches featuring Bluetooth calling, GPS and Alexa connection. We’ll visit the fair next year and hope to see more smart watches.

At the fair, I have found one to three potential business partners for the supply of clocks and men’s watches from Mainland China. I will buy 1,500 pieces of clocks from a new supplier. The new Scan2Match function is very user-friendly. When buyers scan exhibitors’ QR codes at their booths, exhibitors will know that buyers are interested in their products.

I will bring these two brands to the Japanese market. Click2Match provides an efficient platform for me to find the right brands. The overall presentation of Salon de TE is very nice. I hope to see more brands and attend more market trend seminars next year.

The Food Expo and Tea Fair offers an excellent opportunity for 759 Store to source quality products especially from overseas suppliers. We really appreciate the Click2Match platform provided by the organiser. Through the online business matching meetings, we’ve got in touch with eight overseas suppliers. We’ve very fruitful exchanges and everything is well organised. We’ve found four to five new suppliers including an Italy supplier for frozen meat and others from Mainland China for seafood, canned food and tea products. Through the Click2Match service, I’ve established contact with three Mainland China companies from Zhoushan City of Zhejiang Province for the supply of frozen seafood. The Click2Match platform is very user-friendly enabling smooth and effective exchanges with overseas suppliers. At the fairground, I’ve found another two seafood suppliers, also from Zhoushan City, at the Zhejiang Province pavilion. Further negotiation will be conducted to conclude business. The hybrid EXHIBITION+ model really helps us to connect suppliers online and offline for business expansion.

At the beginning, we focused on selling honey products from different countries like Australia, New Zealand, USA, Italy, Hungary, Germany and Poland. We’ve now expanded our portfolio to include such products as fruit jam and peanut butter, Japanese sake, red wine and Shaoxing wine. The Food Expo and Tea Fair are always the best place to source new food and tea products. The Click2Match platform introduced by the organiser this year is very useful. Through the service, I’ve found a Poland supplier for tart cherry juice and two suppliers from Mainland China including one from Fujian Province for oolong tea and one from Heilongjiang Province for perilla honey. We expect to conclude distributorship cooperation with them. I am very pleased with what I’ve got at the Expos.
