Originating from Shiqian, Tongren, Guizhou—the "Hometown of Chinese Moss Tea", this product is a protected national geographical indication item. It is crafted with spring buds of the unique native local moss tea cultivar. Premier Zhou Enlai once inscribed a compliment on Shiqian's tea industry: "Tea production holds boundless prospects".

Grown in the selenium-rich misty ecological zone of the Wuling Mountains, the tea is refined via traditional Guizhou-style congou black tea techniques.
