Food Expo and concurrent events reflect spending power
Five key shows attract close to 480,000 public visitors

Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the Food Expo, Beauty & Wellness Expo, and Home Delights Expo concluded on a high note today. The trade fairs — Food Expo PRO and Hong Kong International Tea Fair — also drew to a successful close on 19 August. The five fairs featured more than 1,800 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions and attracted close to 480,000 public visitors altogether.
The rebranded Food Expo PRO, previously the Food Expo Trade Hall, featured a new Food Science and Technology Zone showcased food processing technologies and included two Food Tech Symposium sessions presenting specialised food trends.
The Hong Kong International Tea Fair showcased famous teas, tea products and tea ware from around the world. The fair featured tea forums, the International Tea Arts Performance (pictured above) and other exciting events.
The Food Expo featured a Gourmet Zone that showcased the world’s finest cuisines, with 19 celebrity chefs invited to conduct Star Chef Cooking Demonstration sessions.
The Beauty & Wellness Expo showcased beauty and health products from around the world and locally. The debut Hieggo Pavilion brought a wide range of health products, with celebrity Lawrence Cheng and other guests sharing wellness knowledge at the fair (picture above).
The Home Delights Expo showcased smart-home products, kitchen appliances, kitchenware, tableware and household products. In the Avenue of Delights, more than 40 exhibitors and a wide range of lifestyle brands attracted a large number of visitors.
Exciting fair activities included cooking demonstrations by renowned chefs, smart bidding sessions (picture above) and the Lucky Draw.
In hybrid physical and online format, the International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products (ICMCM) was themed Inheritance and Innovation of Traditional Chinese Medicine, featuring 18 keynote speakers from the United Kingdom, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Mainland China, and Hong Kong who discussed Chinese medicine research and development and successful product development.
