Using a single LED, the patented mechanism can convert the product to either a lantern to give 360 degree of area light or a spotlight to give directional beam. The function can be selected simply by rotating the collar which in turn rotates the LED inside to give either area or directional light. Optical design with high efficacy gives no compromise performance on both lighting modes. Able to use single ultra-bright LED for both modes helps to reduce product cost.

The Auto-Dimming Headlamp features the latest in battery lighting technology! The patented auto-dimming sensor instantly adjust the light’s brightness to the user's environment. Beam instantly becomes brighter when user looks at objects far away, automatically switches to low output when user looks at objects in very close range. The function helps to reduce glare found from using a standard headlamp being too bright to use for close range illumination. The function helps to extend battery life by efficiently using power.
