Antique Royal Amethyst Set Jewelry. The set consists of a tiara, earrings, brooches, two bracelets and a long necklace, made of high-quality gold, weighing 216 grams, in an original jewelry box.    Filigree and granulation are used throughout the collection, which are hammered and stamped by hand rather than later cast, and the bracelets are wound with filigree, which was more commonly used in the royal jewels of the 18th and early 19th centuries. The gemstone is made of large high-quality Russian Siberian natural amethyst, which is the highest grade of amethyst, and is called "Deep Siberian". Before the discovery of amethyst mines in Brazil, amethyst was one of the "five great jewels" that rivaled the diamond ruby sapphire emerald, and the royal families were proud to have a set of amethyst jewelry.

The brooch and tiara feature extremely fine carved patterns of cornflowers and roses and are thought to have been the dowry of Empress Augusta Marie Luise Katharina around 1830. The royal family that has such amethyst sets also includes the Swedish royal family, the Russian royal family, the Spanish royal family, the British royal family, etc., and Napoleon's queen Josephine also has a similar amethyst set. 这套胸针和冠冕上面有极其精细的矢车菊和玫瑰花雕刻图案，据考证极有可能是1830年前后德国皇后奥古斯塔（Augusta Marie Luise Katharina）结婚时的嫁妆。拥有此类紫水晶套装的皇室还有瑞典皇室、俄罗斯皇室、西班牙皇室、英国皇室等，拿破仑的王后约瑟芬也有一套这样类似的紫水晶套装。今年卡地亚在香港的大展上展出的重量级古董珠宝中也有一套很相似的紫水晶套装。
