- The SK902 uses the passive infrared (PIR) detection technology to monitor a room for occupancy, any movement by a person will cause the detector to register that movement and energize the lighting.
- After the primary detector PIR engages then the sound detection system comes into operation to keep the status of the detector as “occupied” even though there is no detectable movement.
- The lights will remain ON as long as there is a noise or an occupant movement through the sensor zones.
- A OFF delay time adjustment prevents the lights from switching OFF when the space is occupied.
- In order to keep the lights ON, noise must be generated, either from talking or any other activity, at least once during the selected OFF delay time interval.
- An LED indicator blinks to denote activity is sensed in the sensor zones.
- When the space being monitored by the sensor is unoccupied for the length of time chosen as the OFF delay interval, the unit will switch the lights OFF.
