Product Description

Being used over 150,000 times in 127 well-known clinics since 2015, HappyMed provides audiovisual sedation through video glasses. The glasses are especially developed for application in medical field and have been certified as Class I medical devices.

HappyMed is frequently used in

  • Anesthesia: Induction and recovery rooms for general anesthesia as well as during operations with regional anesthesia
  • Cardiology: Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA), transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and electrophysiological examination of the heart (EPU)
  • Oncology: Radiation therapy, infusion therapy and bone marrow punctures

Using audiovisual distraction instead of medication-induced sedation minimizes risk for patients during medical procedures and improves overall outcome for staff, clinic and patients.

Studies show medical interventions cause anxiety and stress in patients and additional medication is a common response to this problem. That results in longer length of stay in hospital, more medical complications and higher personnel c osts. Audiovisual sedation is a positive, alternative solution.
