Fujian, also known as Haixi (West of the Sea), lends its name to this tea—hence it is called "Haixi No. 1." In 2011, Mr. Xu Qiusheng, chief tea master and national first-class tea master of Wuyishan Xiangjiang Tea Industry Co., Ltd., carefully crafted this tea using tea leaves sourced from the genuine Wuyi rock tea growing areas of the "Three Pits and Two Gullies" (San Keng Liang Jian), following traditional handcrafting techniques. On September 18 of the same year, Haixi No. 1 was officially inducted into the collection of the Shanghai Hanlin Plaque Museum, where it was sealed and certified. This tea is a moderately lightly roasted rock tea (yancha), featuring a fresh, refined, and elegant aroma. On the palate, it is sweet, mellow, and lingering, with a rich floral fragrance that is both subtle and generous. Drinking it leaves one feeling refreshed and uplifted in both body and mind.
