Suzuki Shuzendo Fuji-shaped and Double-horse Pattern Kettle

Made by the century-old Nambu workshop "Suzuki Shuzendo," this tetsubin is not only precious but also has many valuable features.

First, the inscription "Shuzendo Suzuki-made (主善堂鈴木造) " is inscribed. The last three generations of Suzuki Shuzendo (the eleventh and thirteenth generations) used the three characters "Chubei (忠兵衛) " in cursive script as their inscription. Before that, they used "Nambu Suzuki-made (南部鈴木造)" . This "Shuzendo Suzuki-made" seal is even older.

Nambu iron kettles often feature horses as decoration. This kettle features not only twin horses but also Mount Fuji, making it especially rare.

Third, Fuji-shaped kettles with a small capacity are rare. This one holds approximately 1,000 cc of water, which is rarely fpound.

主善堂富士型雙馬紋小壺

出自南部百年工房「鈴木主善堂」，光這條件已夠矜貴了，但此作品還有其他珍貴之處。

首先是款銘「主善堂鈴木造」，鈴木主善堂近三代 (十一及十三代)用草書「忠兵衛」三字為銘，之前則用「南部鈴木造」，而這個「主善堂鈴木造」的印，則會更早。

南部鐵壺很喜歡用馬來做裝飾，此壺雙馬紋之餘，更有富士山紋飾，是比較少見的。

第三，細容量的富士型壺不多見，此壺容量滿水約1,000cc，甚是難得。
