Product Description

VARIETY  GRAN RESERVA BARREL SELECTION  CABERNET SAUVIGNON (100%)

ORIGIN  Central Valley , Chile

VINEYARDS

Vineyards located in the southernmost part of the Maule Valley and 15% of the Curicó Valley, planted on thin, clayey soils. Warm, dry summers ensure perfect fruit ripeness.

Vineyard yield: 16 tons/ha.

Harvest date: Second week of March.

TECHNICAL NOTES

The grapes were hand-picked and carefully transferred to the winery in individual trays. Vinification takes place over 10 days at temperatures ranging from 27°C to 29°C, seeking expressions of fruity aromas and a balanced, smooth body. Ninety-two percent of this wine is kept in stainless steel tanks to maintain the fruity aromas characteristic of the variety, while the remaining 8% is aged in American oak. To maintain most of its natural characteristics, only gentle filtration is applied just before bottling.

TASTING NOTES

Beautiful and elegant ruby red color. It has good aromatic intensity and expressive aromas, both fresh and characteristic of the variety. Very fruity with notes of plums and slightly spicy aromas. It is a well-balanced wine with soft tannins and toasted and chocolate notes and attractive aromas. It is suitable for immediate consumption or to continue developing favorably for several years.

SERVE at 17°C. We recommend immediate consumption or cellaring for a couple of years. Good to pair with everyday dishes.
