The film is produced and written by Hideaki Anno and directed by Shinji Higuchi.The character design concept is based on an Ultraman painting by Tohl Narita in 1983, who is renowned as the lead character designer for ULTRA Q, ULTRAMAN, and ULTRASEVEN and played a major role in creating the world of the now continuing ULTRAMAN series.Further information and updates will be provided soon.

It has been announced that Yuki Yamada will voice the role of Ken Sato, the protagonist who becomes Ultraman, in the Japanese dub.

After a great success of season 1, next season will be coming to Netflix on April 14, 2022.
