The Scheme provides comprehensive and in-depth IP training courses to facilitate IP Managers to capitalise their expertise and skills. Enterprises registered in Hong Kong can join the Scheme for free. A series of training courses ranging from IP registration to patent and technology transfer have been launched for 2022-2023. Course are complimentary or offered at a discounted price for enterprises enrolled in the Scheme.

The Programme aims to build up the manpower capacity in the businesses, especially among SMEs, so that they could adopt good IP management into their overall business strategy and practice. The courses enable participants to help their enterprise enhance awareness of IP protection, fully exploit their creative potential, proactively protect their IPs from infringement and liberate the value of their IP assets for trading. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the respective training course (except joint programme).

With support from the Law Society of Hong Kong, the IPD provides FREE One-On-One IP Consultation Service for Hong Kong SMEs to raise their awareness of intellectual property (IP), and to develop effective IP management and commercialisation strategies.
A face-to-face Consultation Service will be delivered by practising solicitors of the Law Society of Hong Kong (“Advisor”). Advisory areas cover IP registration, IP management, IP licensing and IP due diligence.
