The Outdoor and Tech Light Expo is the right place to showcase our latest products and meet buyers. The response has been positive this year. We’ve met with more than 40 professional buyers including those from Canada, USA, Australia, Columbia and Korea in the first two days of exhibition. Serious talks are underway with three to five customers from the Philippines, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia for different items including street lights, sport lights and solar lighting. Orders are worth US$300,000 to US$500,000. Of which, a Philippine customer will buy US$150,000 worth of lighting devices for airport projects. An Italian buyer is negotiating to purchase street lights’ housing. This is an excellent show.

At least six new buyers from Italy, the UK, India, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia have expressed strong interest in purchasing our lighting products. A Malaysian buyer has purchased samples of about half of those products in our showcase including string lights, strip lights, linear lights, flood lights and point lights. The order under negotiation is worth more than US$100,000. We are in talks with a Vietnamese customer for the supply of different lights for its project. Some buyers from other places like USA and UAE have also approached us to explore business development. We will definitely exhibit here again to expand our presence.

Gaoyou city in Jiangsu Province is a major street lights manufacturing base in Mainland China. The Outdoor and Tech Light Expo offers an excellent trading platform for our lighting companies to expand into international markets. Six companies from Gaoyou are participating in the Expo this year to showcase different street lights and solar street lights. The feedback is positive. Our participating companies are able to secure new buyers, conclude new orders and raise their profile here. The business matching service has enhanced fruitful exchanges with international customers. We will continue to participate in the Expo and bring together more lighting companies from Gaoyou to showcase here.

Serious talks are underway with four to five new customers from different places such as USA, India and Malaysia. The USA buyer is negotiating to purchase 2,000 sets of street lights. We’ve met with some professional buyers looking for green lighting solutions and they’ve expressed strong interest in our solar lights. A new buyer from Poland will purchase a selection of our solar lights including string lights, pathway lights, bollard lights and lantern lights. Potential order is worth about US$100,000. An UAE buyer has also placed orders for different solar lights and is keen to develop business with us. New buyers from other places like Vietnam, Indonesia and Kazakhstan also came forward to make enquiry. We really appreciate the organiser’s Click2Match platform which effectively connects these new buyers to us.

Polycab is a leading manufacturer of cables and wires in India. We also provide wide-ranging outdoor lighting solutions for customers. This is my first visit to the Outdoor and Tech Light Expo in Hong Kong to find new and innovative light products. So far, I have found a new supplier from Mainland China for wall lights and another for panel lights with energy-saving timer. Potential orders will involve 50,000 pieces each. I’ve also identified six to seven new suppliers from Mainland China for solar street lights and those coming with Webcam or motion sensors are especially interesting. This is a very good show. I will definitely visit the Expo again next year to find more products and suppliers.

Esha is an importer and distributor of lighting and electrical products in India. We also export products to the Middle East. I am visiting the Outdoor and Tech Light Expo to find new lighting devices. I’ve found two new suppliers from Mainland China for high bay lights and LED drivers. Orders will be placed on a monthly basis. Initial orders are estimated at US$6,500 per month, meaning about US$78,000 worth of orders in total for the year.
