Official Freight Forwarder for Duty-Exemption Services

Under the current regulations of Hong Kong, all liquors with over 30% alcohol are dutiable items with 100% duty. Exemptions from duty on liquors can only be granted when the liquors are deemed to be samples or advertising matter with no commercial value and not intended for re-sale. HKTDC Hong Kong International Wine &amp; Spirits Fair (HKIWSF) has facilitated a freight forwarder – The Janel Group of Hong Kong Ltd. to take care of the duty exemptions of hard liquor carried by overseas exhibitors (hereafter “participants of the duty exemption arrangement”) once they enter Hong Kong SAR’s territory for HKTDC Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair (HKIWSF) Special Edition.
